The mission of the Cuero ISD Education Foundation is to generate and distribute financial resources to the Cuero Independent School District to enrich, maintain, and expand programs needed to meet the District's stated mission of excellence in education.
The Cuero ISD Education Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) organization by members of the community of Cuero to generate and distribute financial resources to the Cuero Independent School District to enrich, maintain, and expand programs needed to meet the District's stated mission of excellence in education.
As a result of the Foundation's volunteer board of directors' commitment to this mission as well as the community of Cuero's generosity and support of this mission, the Foundation has awarded $2,733,665.83 to Cuero ISD's faculty, staff, students, and graduates in its brief history. The Foundation has awarded $643,602.36 in the form of grants to Cuero ISD faculty and staff for resources, projects, and programs outside the scope of traditional school funding. The Foundation has awarded $239,000 in scholarships to Cuero ISD students and graduates. And, the Foundation has awarded $1,851,063.47 in restricted donations to Cuero ISD for the purpose of completing the Cuero ISD Performing Arts Center.
The Foundation’s board of directors' commitment to growing the Foundation's endowment as well as conservative fiscal management has led to an endowment that now approaches three million dollars. This endowment will provide for teachers and students for years to come.
The Foundation’s history, although brief, is impressive due to the generosity of its donors along with the hard work and prudence of the board.
