Cuero ISD Education Foundation: 2023 Concert for Classrooms featuring Shadows of the 60s

Cuero, Texas: ― The Cuero ISD Education Foundation board of directors are pleased to announce the 2023 “Concert for Classrooms” Shadows of the 60’s, a Motown Super Group, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cuero ISD Performing Arts Center.

Shadows of the 60’s

Shadows of the 60’s pays tribute to the tremendous legacy of Motown’s Super Groups, in a salute to the legendary stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Four Tops and Temptations. In this highly interactive and visually stunning production, Shadows of the 60’s perform the hits that span several decades. Featuring top industry musicians and singers dressed in exquisitely designed costumes and dazzling choreography, Shadows Of the 60’s present the music of Motown with the intensity of the original recorded performances.

“The Cuero ISD Education Foundation board of directors and I are thrilled to host this event, which enables the Foundation to fund grants to Cuero ISD faculty and staff for resources, projects, and programs beyond the scope of traditional school funding,” said Sean Douglas, Cuero ISD Education Foundation Executive Director.

The 2023 Concert for the Classrooms is set for Saturday, Nov. 11 and will feature the magic of Motown where attendees can close their eyes and feel the raw “front row” experience of attending a live Motown concert, circa 1964. The evening will be capped off with a jaw dropping grand finale featuring the music of Motown’s Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Marvelettes, Junior Walker & The Allstars, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Contours and more!

“Shadows Of The 60’s is truly a concert for everyone,” said Douglas. “Given the mass appeal of this era of music, I encourage you to secure your sponsorship before tickets go on sale to the public. Given our ticket sales in the past, sponsorship of the event is the best way to ensure you don’t miss this incredible experience as well as support your Cuero ISD teachers and students.”

Tickets will go on sale Sept. 30 at www.cueroedfoundation.org . Sponsorships, which include benefits such as concert tickets and recognition in area media, are available now through August 1 from board members or by contacting the executive director at 361.275.1924.
