The 2023 Concert for Classrooms features the magic of Motown, a performance during which attendees can close their eyes and feel the raw “front row” experience of a live Motown concert, circa 1964. The evening will be capped off with a jaw-dropping grand finale featuring the music of Motown’s Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Marvelettes, Junior Walker & The Allstars, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Contours and more!

“The Cuero ISD Education Foundation board of directors and I are thrilled to host this event, which enables the Foundation to fund grants to Cuero ISD faculty and staff for resources, projects, and programs beyond the scope of traditional school funding,” said Sean Douglas, Cuero ISD Education Foundation Executive Director.

“We are extremely grateful for our sponsors that help us to bring this caliber of entertainment to Cuero, as well as supporting our Cuero ISD faculty and staff.” Platinum sponsors for this year’s Concert for Classrooms include Denis and Sheryl Muellar, in memory of Lanette Mueller Gips, and Ted and Sheryl Winslow, in memory of Susan Hamilton Wallis. H-E-B serves as the Gold Album sponsor and Album of the Year sponsors are: Paul and Debbi Gray, the John Pokluda Family, and Ted and Sheryl Winslow.

“Shadows Of The 60’s is truly a concert for everyone,” said Douglas. “Given the mass appeal of this era of music and our ticket sales in the past, we encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss this incredible experience as well as support your Cuero ISD teachers and students. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our sponsors, the majority of the seats are claimed through their support and we encourage the general public to move quickly as we only have a limited number of seats available.”
