Cuero, Texas – The Cuero ISD Education Foundation (CISDEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Christi Fuchs as its new part-time Executive Director. With over two decades of dedication to education and a strong background in grant writing and fundraising, Christi brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Foundation.
Christi Fuchs holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology from Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. Currently in her 25th year as an elementary classroom teacher, she has spent the majority of her career focusing on science and STEM education at Cuero ISD. Her long-standing commitment to educational excellence and student success makes her a natural fit for this leadership role.
Christi’s journey into grant writing began approximately 15 years ago when she secured her first grant from the Cuero Education Foundation. Since then, she has successfully written and been awarded more than 15 grants from a variety of donors. These grants have significantly benefited students in Cuero ISD and contributed to the development of the Boys & Girls Club of Cuero.
